THE MEN OF THE FIFTH WORLD

This design board is intended as a graphic introduction for the documentary "The Men of the Fifth World." The idea was to reinforce the concept of primitivism through a modernist aesthetic. This was designed for the Design for Motion Class Fall 2016 at the Savannah College of Art and Design.

Concept:

Primitivism through the eyes of Modernism.

Inspired by “The Men of the Fifth World,” a Documentary that portrays the life and tradition of Australian Aborigines, this visual exploration pretends to bring to life their oral tradition, sense of community and union of this primitive human race through the simplification of elements to its most basic forms. Focusing on their social behaviors, believes, food habits and relationship with nature, This design board not only emphasizes the concept of primitivism but also revives their artistic and oral traditions in a modern way.
